Ministry of Industry opens call for interested parties to join U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum

This week, the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) published a public call for executive directors interested in joining the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, aiming at strengthening economic and commercial ties between the two countries.

The Forum serves as a mechanism for dialogue between Brazil and the United States and has a mixed composition, with representatives from both the public and private sectors of both countries.

In its composition, the public sector members on the Brazilian side include the Chief of Staff of the Presidency and the Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services. On the U.S. side, members include the Secretary of Commerce and a representative of the White House. The private sector members form a single committee, divided into sections from Brazil and the U.S.

During the Forum’s Plenary Session, CEOs from each country discuss strategic issues of mutual interest, such as:

  • Industry
  • Trade
  • Environment
  • Energy
  • Defense
  • Infrastructure
  • Education
  • Small and medium enterprises

The discussions generate recommendations that are presented by the private sectors to their respective governments.

The Public Call and the Declaration of Interest Form can be accessed here. Clarifications regarding the content of this Call can be obtained via the following email: asint@mdic.gov.br.
