Paula Couto
Attorney
Intellectual Property Attorney with over eight years of experience in Intellectual Property, focusing on strategic patent litigation and advising multinational companies, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and agrochemical sectors. Her practice is primarily dedicated to patent disputes, including infringement and invalidity lawsuits, preliminary injunctions, enforcement strategies and strategic legal counseling throughout the product lifecycle. She also advises clients on regulatory matters involving ANVISA, with a focus on the intersection between intellectual property and regulatory issues in Brazil. In addition, she has experience in trademarks, unfair competition, copyright, information technology, intellectual property agreements, administrative proceedings before the Brazilian PTO (INPI) and research, development, and innovation (R&D) projects.
