BPTO’s condition of International Searching and Preliminary Examining Authority (ISA / IPEA) under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) was renewed for another ten years. With the renewal, the Institute continues to allow the filing of international patent applications in Brazil in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

The decision was made during the 10th Session of the Working Group of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Working Group, which took place from 8 to 11 May in Geneva, Switzerland.
