| The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office has published on March 30, 2021, Ordinance nº 21/2020 that stablishes the examination of patent applications filed between January 01, 2021 and December 31, 2017 that are pending from technical examination by means of the utilization of search results provided by Foreign Patent Offices.Said Ordinance is a part of the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office’s “Plan to Combat the Backlog” of patent applications aiming to increase the number of cases to be analyzed by means of the indication of documents cited in the examination of foreign patent offices, consequently, reducing the huge amount of patent applications waiting for examination. |
