LIDC International Congress – October 5 to 8, in Rio de Janeiro
Managing Partner Paulo Parente Marques Mendes – president of the LIDC national group – and attorney-at-law Felipe Oquendo of Di Blasi, Parente & Associados will participate in the International Congress of the International League of Competition Law – LIDC, which will happen between October 5-8, 2017, in Rio de Janeiro.
ABPI – Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property – is carrying out the event, with support of ASIPI – Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property. The topics to be discussed this year are:
Question A: “What are the major competition/anti-trust issues generated by the growth of online sales platforms, and how should they be resolved?”
Question B: “To what extent do current exclusions and limitations to copyright strike a fair balance between the rights of owners and fair use by private individuals and others?”
