Alexandre Santos is Biomedical Scientist, industrial property agent and holds master’s in genetics and molecular biology. He joined Di Blasi Parente’s Rio de Janeiro office in 2019 as patent specialist.
Alexandre was formerly an examiner before the INPI in the division of Organic Chemistry and Biotechnology.
Alexandre acts in the protection of IP, in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture, Cosmetics, Chemistry and other related fields and plant varieties.
His practice includes, but not limited, to patent prosecution and plant varieties; searches and analysis of patentability, technical opinions, draft patent application, support on technical matters in litigation and proceedings related to the access of Brazilian Genetic Heritage and Associated traditional Knowledge.
